Are climate awareness campaigns really useful?
I'll surprise you with the answer “yes and no”, which I believe will get your attention. Let's take one of the biggest climate awareness campaigns, Earth Hour, which requires you to turn off the lights for 1 hour. (Earth Hour: http://www.earthhour.org/). The problem is just that: the lights are off for only 1 hour. So how much electricity do you think is really saved? In Earth Hour 2010, close to 1 billion people participated from 126 countries.
Now lets go for some math.

Winter is on its way. If your looking for some tips to be eco friendly this winter and also save some money, you have come to the right place.
Let's start where the most energy is lost in a house, at the windows. Check that all windows are leak free and no wind passes around them. You can do this by closing the window and feeling around for cool air. If you feel cool air blowing through, use some silicon (and possibly some insulation) to patch it up.

So you want to be green? Want to be eco friendly? And, at the same time, keep your coolness? Well, you have come to the right place.
There are many eco tips EcoJudge, and yes, if you follow them, you are greatly helping the environment. But how can you help out on a larger scale?
Here are some ways that can help you achieve that goal on larger scale.

SSD's are great for building your new eco friendly computer. They are much more efficient than the older hard disk drives because they consume a lot less power. In an SSD, there are no moving parts, so noise and heat is reduced greatly. With the reduced heat, you won't need as many fans either, thus reducing noise and power once again.
SSD's last a much longer time now due the quickly improved technology and thus they are definitely a win-win product for building your new green computer.

Let's face it, we all come across a time in our lives when we must make a split second decision, “To Be or Not To Be Eco Friendly, That is the Question”. You probably didn't even realize you were making such a decision. What do I mean? For instance, when your out somewhere, and you had an empty plastic water bottle, looking for somewhere to “throw” it. Your first instinct was probably to RECYCLE it, right? But there was no recycling bins nearby, but oh wait, there was a garbage can right there. What did you do? What should you do?
